2013-03 Galapagos Islands
The Galapagos is a photographer's paradise.
I took 3800 photos with my Canon 5D Mark II camera March 17-24, 2013, on the Celebrity Xpedition cruise. For most of them I used a Canon EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM lens which I borrowed from Aldis Knight.
I did not use a tripod. The high sensitivity of the 5D meant I could use a high shutter speed and the isolation stabilized lens helped. There would not have been time to set up a tripod with the high-paced tours every morning and afternoon.
